Okay I have a Chevy 283 casting # 3789935 attached to a Merc outdrive serial number 2728880. Now, what do I say I have when I go looking for parts? I need exhaust headers, intake, carb, few other things.
I just got a 71 larson something.... Has a mercusier in it, chevy 283. How does shifting work in this things? All i have is a throttle handle but no buttons! Am i missing something? I thought there should be a button that i hold down to take it out of n into drive...
Well newbie here, just found the page and thought may be someone could give me some info. Anyway - I just picked up a FREE 17' 70's larson! Has a 283 sb in it, trailer, etc. Needs some work but haul is in great shape, just some stripping and re gel coating. So the 1st question - it's a 61796...
