Wouldn't the hole furthest from the arm be the longest travel? I'd love to find a manual for this controller but haven't had any luck.
The shifter cables are the cables are the outer ones. Which hole give larger travel?
I measured the output on the other end of the control and at the idle positions, it's just at 2 7/8 (or a little under) which I think is the lowest end of the specification (3" +/- 1/8" according to achris). For this control, is there any adjustment that could increase the travel of the shift...
On a Carver Santego 30 (1988) with dual controls connected to a pair of Alpha One Gen 1 drives (5.7) Three seasons ago, I changed the lower shift cables (they were closed to being seized up!) and after adjustment, all of the lower shift cable operations and measurements were in spec.
In the...
I looked around but not seeing an obvious location for the idle mix adjustment screw. What should I be looking for? I can't tell what kind of carb I have.
I have a similar problem right now with both engines. Often times, I can only apply the requisite force by shifting past the neutral position on the control. Once in a while, I'll get a smooth shift to neutral but it's rare.
Recently - have adjusted shift interrupt (cutoff) switch to the...
Ah yes - those. They kind of go around the block. There's a line that goes over the block that was "decommissioned" it seems. The previous owner (or even before) added a new line without taking the old one out. Actually there are LOTS of instances of this for all of the control cables in the boat.
I'm not sure I'd be able to hoist out the generator while on the water. I don't think I'll have the option to pull the boat out at this point.
Even removing the manifold is going to be tricky with the limited access :(
I'm going to take a closer look at the parts of the generator that could be...
I have a fairly severe power steering leak when engine is running (system under pressure). I haven't looked at exact leak location yet but all signs point to the cooler or hose attachments to cooler.
Access to the cooler looks extraordinarily tight. I don't think I can replace it in the current...
I have the same setup on a 1987 Carver Santego. Dual Sterndrive. Was never quite clear if was necessary to drain and replace the reservoir for a gear oil change. As far as I can tell, it never even gets used up.
It seems our anchor bail is missing. I can see the remnants of one on the port side. It looks to be mounted directly to the bow deck.
I have not been able to find a suitable replacement through any online window shopping. Any suggestions?
What risks should I be aware of for running without...
It looks like my Raritan Crown head has had the elbow the connects freshwater to the top of the bowl replaced. The replacement does not have a siphon inlet and I am unable to hook up the treatment tank.
The replacement part is CH50CW and is ~75$ with shipping.
I'm having a hard time...
