I have a 95 Merc 115hp. #2 is blown. I am considering having rebuilt or buying a newer motor to put on. Where can I find out what motors can use the same controls and rigging as the current?
Yesterday my motor would not fire off. I got the engine to run today. Then when I stopped it the ground terminals on the battery were hot (blisters on my fingers hot). I looked at the ignition switch and one of the six terminals was broken off. Now when I turn the key it does not turn over...
How do I tell the difference without taking the lower unit off. I have someone looking for a lower unit for me and I need to let them know. The motor looks pretty tall so I expect it is an XL. The serial is G143246.
or will putting it down with 5200 then tabbing it in be sufficient for stringer applications? I'm not going for overkill. If it does not need to be completely encapsulated, I won't do it.
So, I have the deck off of my 95 Astro. The rot is partly because of the foam. I am going back with a pourable composite. Could i leave the foam in the hull can clean the rot out from between it and pour something like seacast or West System in the voids?
If not how do I get the foam out??
I want to rebuild my stringers and floor with composite material. I have looked at starboard, coosa and aqua plas 4 from piedmont. Any opinions or alternate suggestions are appreciated.
I recently purchaed a 1995 ASTRO CC and will be replacing the floor. The previous owner sprayed bedliner on the floor and up the sides. Any idea on how do best remove the bedliner would be greatly appreciated.
