    Lower unit question

    98 350 mercruiser efi gen II outdrive Went out to fire up the boat after it sat all winter...I noticed the gear oil reservoir down a little so I added some gear oil before I started it. After I shut it down I noticed a little gear oil coming from the weep hole in the lower unit. What do you think?

    Rewinterize???

    It was nice out this weekend so I took the boat out for the 1st time since fall...now it is supposed to get down to 32 this weekend. Do I need to rewinterize? I keep my boat in a non heated pole barn.

    Need help identifying lower unit oil leak

    I have a small leak under my lower unit that was not there when I put the boat up last fall. Its a 98 Alpha One Gen 2. The leak is not the greenish gear oil color, it's more the color of regular motor oil. It appears to be coming from the port side weep hole where the upper and lower unit bolt...

    Water in Trim/Tilt resevoir?

    Just bought a boat this summer with a 98 5.0 EFI Mercruiser and I believe an Alpha 1 drive. When checking things over as I was winterizing I noticed the fluid in the Trim/Tilt resevoir was white and I'm wondering if water got in? If water got in can it freeze when mixed with the oil and if so...
