I was given this motor and does model 72 mean it's a 1972? It has a plastic propeller 8 X 9 1/4, 9 spline. I'm not able to find replacement. Local prop dealer gave me 10 spline 8 X 9 1/4. I also would like to know how to check the water pump. I would like to use this motor in 1 days. Thanks
The problem is it will not stay in tilt. I do not see where it can engage to stay. I do see the switch for lock or tilt and when you take it out of lock it does unlock but when you swing the motor up, nothing engages to hold the weight in tilt. Can someone tell me what I'm missing?
