    I have an old merc 50 , no water through tell tale so changed impellor, with lower leg removed i put a drill on prop nut to spin drive shaft and its just not pumping any water out, there are no blockages as far as I can see, impellor is keyed properly, this was done with muffs on,can anyone give...

    lower leg removal!

    in the process of dropping lower leg to attempt impeller replacement, loosened bolts on the sides and the one under the anode and it drops about 7mm but no more...does this need some gentle persuation to free the drive shaft or is their a nut on top that needs undoing?<br />Merc 50 circa 87!<br...

    Mercury 50..how old?

    have aquired a mercury 50 non starter! need to order some parts to repair only cant find a tag on it for serial number. Do they come off or is it stamped into the engine? Its 3 cylinder,electric start,with a blue band around the cover.
