I have a 1985 Galaxy I/O with a Chevy 350 and an OMC 800 outdrive. The next item on my list to fix is the throttle/forward/reverse control lever. It's loose and pretty tricky to get to work right and I want to get it back to working well so anyone can operate my boat.
The labels are long gone...
I have a broken driveshaft snapped off in the pinion bearing in the lower unit on my OMC 800 . I have a known good OMC 400 unit , includes everything from the bellhousing to the prop.
So far my research has shown that the drive shaft, prop shaft, and gear ratio are different . Can I run this...
