    56 big twin 30hp won't start

    This moter was given to me by a freind. I't sat in his basment for 20 years. Strong blue spark, strong battery, 100 psi compression, fuel in getting to spark plug. Set high speed one turn out, low speed one and a half. Engine will not fire at all. Any ideas??? Thanks Frank

    62 40 hp Problems "Help"

    Thanks to CAtransplant for identifiying my engine.1962 Evinrude Lark IV;hot water acuated choke,non ajustable high speed on the carb.<br />Here's my problem:<br />It starts ok and idles but misfires at all speeds(runs smooth then a bang and motor shakes in its mounts for a split second then runs...

    What year? Evinrude

    Could someone please tell me what year my outboard is? It is an Evinrude Lark 4. It's model # is 35530. Serial # 501XX. I have been having some problems with it. <br />What spark plug should I be using.<br />Thank You.
