the engine is a 69 mercury 200 20hp s/n 2250249 i initially ordered the sierra impeller but then i found the mercury part. the mercury part seems too big and i CANT get it to fit the sierra part lines up perfect and installs nicely. The old impeller is just as big as the mercury...
I just noticed on my title that my boat is a TEMPEST I did some google research ( yes, google lol) and didnt find too many results. Is this a rare boat? I can not find a sticker or a tag on it indicating the capacity, max engine or number of passengers? Its a 1969 Sea Star Tempest 15.5'...

Just got a 69 Sea Star Aluminum Boat... previous owner installed new dash, new seats and new transom. Looks great... no wooden floor , but its ok.. its a perfect 2 man fishing boat. He said he did lots of motor work.. it starts...
Purchased a 21.5' Galaxy from 1989 from a friend of mine. Got a good deal, $2000. Needs a good tune up... starts and runs, shifts into fwd and reverse just fine. Doesnt seem to be sucking up water too well. My mechanic friend who winterized it said it didnt suck up the anti freeze that well...
I restored and sold my 16' Aluminum Starcraft and just purchased this 1989 21' Galaxy. Its a clean boat, with a 3.7 liter incline 4 merc with alpha one outdrive. Flood is solid, just needs some tlc and a good cleaning. Nice cuddy that sleeps two.
