1977 Starcraft 16SS. Evinrude 85. On the lake this weekend the motor would not react to pushing the tilt/trim toggle switch in the up direction. I'm assuming there's a mechanical fault that a shop will have to address, but has anyone else had this experience?
While pulling the kids on a tube this weekend a loud buzzing started (and then stopped about a minute later), coming from the throttle mechanism. I can't find a reference in the owner's manual....this is circa 1977. Does anyone know what the buzzing means and how worried I should be?
