Can anyone tell me what the idle timing setting should be on this motor I know what the full throttle setting is. I broke the plastic linkage by the stater so when I replace it I need to know what the idle timing should be.<br /><br />Thanks
I have a 1999 115 yamaha oil injected when i run full throttle for about 10 miles the low oil warning buzzer comes on then i have to shut down and use the remote pump on the side of the engine to pump up oil into the resivor. It doesnt do it when i cruise about 4ooo rpm. I checked the oil filter...
I purchased that Turbo prop for that 1999 yamaha 115. It had a Ballist prop on it. The question I have is will it just bolt right on or do I have to change any thing. Just want to make sure everything is ok.<br /><br />Thanks again

I have a 17.7 alumacraft tropy sport with a 1999 yamaha 115 tlry and a ballist tm 19 pitch prop on it. The problem is I have to over trim the engine to lift the boat out of the water then the prop blows out on corners. The engine is in the second hole mount, also on normal trim the engine sprays...
The timing on my 1999 yamaha 115 is suppose to be 25 btc. It is 30+ degrees. I would assume I make the adjustment using the linkage under the fly wheel that connects to the upper part of the throttle arm.? Is this correct.
what octane should be run in 1999 yamaha 115.<br />The engine runs great except at idle it want's to run rich if I run 86/87 octane would that help rather than the higher octane of 90. Any thoughts would be great.

Can someone help with detailed info on this procedure and what should the timing be set at. Any help would be great. I have been told it should be 25 BTDC. at idle speed. I don't understand mine is TDC or 5 ATDC at idle speed it can't be that far off. I am obviously doing something incorrect.
