Does anyone know where to buy a replacement gasket that goes around the the baffle plate at the exhaust housing ?
When I pulled the power head, there was a foam rubber gasket which was destroyed. It appears to be a sound deadening gasket .

I have a 1965 18 hp evinrude fastwin that has a hairline crack at the top of the exhaust housing where the power head bolts are located. This crack is under the bracket that is part of the casting . This is the rear of the housing below the cowling latch position. I have not seen any leakage and...
The roller is groove and I wonder if this is common with evinrudes? Also would like to know how it could effect engine performance . Seems it could be inverted to change groove locations.?

I have a 1965 18 hp Fastwin that doesn't have a card silencer pad, and it doesn't appear to be available. Is this part really necessary or not?
