    Mercarb Choke issue

    Hi, I have a 1992 Merc. 5,0l V8 with a 2bbl Mercarb. The problem is that the choke flap is always open when the engine is cold. In order for the flap to be closed I would have to turn the choke cover counterclockwise about 90 degress way off the marks so that the spring within the choke closes...

    Can a 1988 4.3l Mercruiser be replaced by a brand new 4.3l Mercruiser MPI (fuel injected) ?<br />Does the MPI engine fit on the transom and does it fit the Alpha one Sterndrive ?
