    50hp 4 stroke EFI: Dangerous engine acceleration.

    Low time 2005 - No matter how slowly and carefully you advance the throttle the engine jumps to 2500 - 3000 rpm from idle. I asked the factory rep about the situation and was told to see my dealer. This can't possibly be the only engine that has had this problem. Any ideas?

    1948 Johnson TD20, 5hp cooling.

    I just ran my newly acquired TD20. The "tell tale" water outlet produced mostly steam at the low rpm necessary while running it in a barrel. I had replaced it's existing impeller with a new one. However, the new one is hard plastic but the one I removed is pliable rubber. My two questions...
