I have twin Ficht 175's with just over 500 hrs. Recently either engine would stall when powering down from running to neutral. No warning lights or bells. The engine will not turn over, but the warning lights/indicators do come on. The engine could be dead anywhere from 5 mins to 30 mins, then...
When flushing the engine I notice water coming from an usual place & also grease coming from an area at the top of the shift shaft, see photo.
These are 2000 Ficht 175hp
Does anyone have any ideas.

1997 Force 120, cannot shut it off. I've had problems with engines not starting, but this is the first time I've had one that keeps running w/ignition off. I have to disconnect the fuel line to stop the engine from running. Any suggestions ?
On my Force 120 lower unit there is a small hole just above the oil fill. The engine has sat for about 9 months in the up tilt position. When I lowered the engine a small amount of oil began draining out of the hole, is that normal ? If oil comes out, water can go in ??
