    Loosing Faith in Humanity . . .

I don’t have Facebook and never will but I do hear people talking about the marketplace all the time. Seems to be a good thing.

    Modern PT lumber

The place where I have worked for the past 35 years has a few private beaches. One of them has tree stumps about 10’ of the shore line that I have only seen 3 or 4 times over the years after big storms. They are normally covered by rock and sand and of course water. The stumps are in perfect...

I don’t get a lot of stuff on eBay but I do use it from time to time. I got some hinges for a 20 year old oven last week and did notice that a lot of prices had been lowered. And there were a lot of people watching items but apparently not that many buying. Best of luck in the rest of your sales.

I guess you have nothing to lose. That’s the kinda of project that would be on the top of my list just to have fun and see how it came out. When I was a kid I got TH350 transmission from the junk yard and rebuilt just to see if I could. I didn’t have any parts left over so I think it would have...

I love seeing the beautiful woods that are reclaimed from rivers and lakes that have been there for 100 or more years. A lady I used to do some work for had her library floor done in reclaimed yellow pine from one of the Great Lakes. It was beautiful and I made my dinning room table from the...

All the buildings where I work were built in the 1880’s. There were built on stone and cedar post. I have a collection of cedar post that I make stuff out of all the time. They are in beautiful condition. All but one of the buildings have been lifted over the past 25 years and had a basement...

It sure is. I have over heard some pretty heated arguments. I don’t get into it for the same reasons I don’t talk politics.

The EV’s here are very popular and make a lot of sence on the island. The big problem is there is no one to work on them yet so they have to be taken off island. If they were in an accident and there is any reason to believe the battery system was damaged they can’t even be brought into the...

    Modern PT lumber

In my case I’m on an island and all I can get is whats available. Anything that is a special order comes with a very special delivery price. That’s the price I pay for living on an island I guess so I really can’t complain. The landscape timber here is a better quality are far as rot prevention...

    Modern PT lumber

I just need to rant about PT lumber. I’m redoing the decks at my house. I added on to the deck 25 years ago so it had a good run and was due for an update. So far I have been able to reuse all the framing until I got to the part I added on. It’s all rotten. The original deck framing is well...
