I have a 1400 that the wires going into the distributor have rotten insolation and I have coated them to avoid the removal and maintenance on the distributor but it's worrying me. Do I have to pull it out to change the trigger and how big of a job is that... or should I replace the distributor...
I took the carbs off because the ctr carb float was sticking and dumping fuel at a rate faster than I could buy it. Carbs had a little jelly but cleaned easy enough. Put them back on and it ran bad. lots of misses... I adjusted the idle mix to about 1-1/4 turns out and it seemed to do better...
