    how do u check the timing on a 1981 johnson 25 hp pull start.

    over rev

    i have a 1981 johnson 25 hp rope start it runs good on the top end but idle is rough. it sputers and jumps, and in neutral it revs up very high. just put a carb kit in so not sure what the problem is i think it might be the timeing but not sure and help would be welcome thanks in advance.

    oil ratio for merc 20hp

    need to know the right ratio not sure what year it is so if any one knows all of the years that would help i think it is from the 60,70 but like i siad not sure it is a merc 200 thunderbolt 20 hp. thanks
