After taking a break, I have found that if I run a jumper from the positive post on the solenoid to the wire that comes out of the solenoid I have power to the tilt / trim and the ignition switch will crank and start the motor.     I have completely gutted it and am planning to do all the decking in 1/8” aluminum as I think it will save about a pound per square foot. Going to add a deck in the rear to replace the transom well and hopefully make it a little more fishable.

    Update, with the harness unhooked OR hooked with the key on, I can jump to the starter and it will fire/run with a shot of ether. With the key off, harness hooked, it will not fire, but there is still no power to the harness. Would a bad solenoid be the culprit?
