I just recently bought a full system exhaust and thinking about possibly installing my self. Any tips on how to do it or recommend me not trying to do it myself. 454 big block and the exhaust system is a GIL dry system

I need to find a water pump/ fuel pump for a 454… I see the price ranges from $100-$1200. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge with these pumps. How much should I be I spending on this pump.
Thanks
It does have a cam in it I’m not sure what the specs are on it. I have concerns about water reversion. I have the stock exhaust on it now but haven’t fired it up. Any signs I should look for in seeing if reversion is taking place? *picture is the exhaust I plan to run*
The moment you have all been waiting for *Drumroll* some dingle berry put the wrong flywheel on. This just goes to show just because they work in a shop doesn’t mean they don’t mess something up every so often. Thanks for everyone’s help.
I have a big block Chevy and the exhaust is getting really hot right at the beginning of the exhaust header but the rest of the exhaust is cooler. Just curious if it is normal for the exhaust to be really hot at the block? I will post a picture for reference where it is hot.
Anyone know of a way to tell if it is a 454 or a 402. Front balancer has no weight on it but the fly wheel has weight on it. When I search the casting number it comes up as 402/454 and the same thing with the heads casting number.(3993820) kind of stumped at the point.
***UPDATE*** I put a 454 harmonic balancer on and it didn’t fit do to the timing plate. I ended up just removing the timing plate and putting the 454 balancer on which was noticeable bigger. I started it up and it was vibrating a lot more…. Starting to think it may not be a 454 after all...
I got a 454 gm mercruiser or whatever u call it. Older model Mark IV 454 I believe. I bought recently and it has been shaking around 3500 rpm. I have looked at the harmonic balancer and noticed it does not have a weight on the inside. Do all 454s have weights in the harmonic balancer. Picture on...
