    johnson gt100 won't run in water (low speed)

    I have a johnson gt100, engine will run and idle while I have the muff installed, however when placed in barrel it will start and will only run if throttle is nearly wide open and even then it runs slow and will "catch up" to the throttle position and rpm's will climb. It will not idle like it...

    how much epoxy

    Redoing floor is my unit,(other post), I'm looking for a guesstimate of how much expoxy it going to be needed, this is a 15ft boat, just curious as to how much others have used when redoing their floors. Thanks.

    no foam?

    Hey all, just started ripping out the floors in my unit, '72 Cobia Tornado, floors are not orginal, and have been replaced but obviously need it again, stringers look like mulch, anyway, there is no foam at all under the floor, is this bad, should i include in new floor build? Seems right answer...

    I little history/info for this engine that i got with my boat. It is a Johnson GT100, model:<br />J100STLCEM, i know it's a 100hp, power trim/tilt, but what's the deal with the gt, it's got some nice little checker flags on it and it runs great. thanks.

    removing carpet glue

    The previouse owner of my unit, '72 Cobia Tornado, dicided that carpet on the "dash", would be nice, i don't fell the same so i pulled it up. My question is will normal glue removers eat into the gel coat or should i just scrape and sand? Thanks.

    picture request

    Anybody have any pics of a late 70's early 80's cobia such as tornado or charger. Currenty restoring a tornado and need ref pics to help. interior of boat has been modified a good amout.

    Just got a 17' Cobia, it says Tornado on the side, don't know the year. Have searched all over for info on this boat, can anyone point me in the right directions, maybe even some pics of a fully restored one. Thanks
