I recently purchased a 1967 SRV170 with a 120HP Mercruiser. The flush plug is missing and it does not seem to be a threaded hole unless the threads are just gone. Will it hurt the outdrive to run without it? I have read where the plug is not needed if the water pump is updated, but I do not know...
