Took the boat out this last weekend everything was running perfect but i noticed it was over charging normally it charges about 14 volts + or - but this time it was charging 16 + volts. Could this be the rectifier or is it the regulator?
Any help finding the year model of my BF5A the serial number is BFDE 1217220 would be great, also what is a good service manual for this motor and where is a good place to order it ??

Does it matter which wires land on the rectifier both wires are the same color(yellow) and the ones off the old stator were the same color there is no trace color on the old or new? Thanks for the help

There is a 1/4" tube comming from what looks like the lower unit and it is tie rapped on the side. Is this tube attached correctly or does it need to be connected to something? :confused:
