    Used '88 - 60 HP Mariner - Need Advice

    Anyone have good or bad experience with a '88 Mariner - 60 hp.<br />I am looking a purchasing one, been sitting for at least 1 year. The person wants $600 for 15' fiberglass boat, trailer that needs some repair and the motor that ran before he put it in the shed.

    Aluminum Boat repair - Rivets?

    I have a '80 16' x 60" flatbottom, riveted aluminum boat. Over 20 of the rivets leak.<br />What is the best repair? Weld? Has anyone had any luck with the Duraflex?<br />If you weld does it weaken the metal around the weld, causing it to fatigue?<br /><br />Thanks in advance for any help.

    1975 40 hp Johnson. I have removed the carborator bowl and the high speed jet is plugged. How do you remove the high speed jet?

    '75 40 hp Johnson will not run at full throttle

    Motor starts, runs at idle speed pretty good, a little rough. When increased to full throttle the engine will go to full throttle for 5 - 15 minutes then drop back to 50%.     1975 Johnson 40 hp

    After about 15 minutes of running at full throttle the engine cuts back to about 50%, alternates between 50% speed and full speed. Motor does not miss, just like it got throttled back.<br />Things that have been done:<br />Carb. kit, new hoses, fuel pump kit & new plugs.<br />Plugs have good...
