I have a four stroke 6hp Yamaha which from what I can see is identical to the 8hp with the possible exception of the throttle stop on the carb. Same idle and main jet part number, same bore, just differen max revs. The throttle on the 6hp has a max stop but I suspect the 8hp carb doesn't...
