    Evinrude 5518 5.5Hp

    I have a 1959 Evinrude model 5518. Motor turns over and runs for about 17-20 sec and dies. What seems to be the problem just put in new plugs. Any suggestions? This does run on a pressurized tank 2liner. Thanks Bob

    1959 Evinrude 5.5hp

    I have a 1959 Evinrude 5518 5.5hp and I can't track down the parts needed for the upper shaft. I have check iboats parts and can't find any thing as to acually purchase the parts. Anyone now where I can get my hands on them? OEM # 303356 Plate, 303327 Retainer, and 303261 Pin Thanks

    1959 Model 5518 drive shaft needed

    Any one know were I can get a new drive shaft for a 1959 Evinrude model 5518 5.5hp. Just got my hands on it and went to replace the impeller. The drive shaft has a lot of wear and the seal support pin is ground flush with the shaft any suggestions? Thanks
