I had just got done rebuilding my 1997 120hp force outboard. It was bored out to .20 over. I finally got it in the water and everything runs great but one thing. While were going at around 3/4 to full throttle for a few minutes the ball loses its prime and i have to prime it and it goes good...
I have a 1997 force 120hp outboard, with a 95 block i believe. I just had rebuilt my engine not to long ago and had the timing off and melted a piston head. I have it all back together again but i want to make sure that i have the timing set exactly this time. I am not exactly sure how to do...
I just did a rebuild on a 1994 120 hp force. Ran just fine then had a connecting rod bolt come loose and scar up the #1 journal. Got it looked at and found out its pretty well shot. From what i am hearing it would be cheaper and better all along to just go get a replacement crankshaft. So i...

i have a 120 hp force. im trying to tune my motor. i can get it started, but not idling. when i run it 3/4 open it will stick open, the only way to shut it off is to let it run dry. any help is appreciated.
I have a 1997 120HP Force outboard that decides that it wants to redline on its own. When im back by the engine when its runnning, and manually moving the throttle by hand, i hit a certain rpm and the engine just redlines by itself. I turn off the key and it doesn't shut off, then it shuts off...
I had just gotten a new quicksilver control box but not yet hooked it up. I had started my 1997 120 HP Force Outboard engine for the first time in a few months the other day. When i did it was running a little slugish which i figured was from the gas, so i replaced the gas and it was running...
So I have been working at getting this steering rod out the tilt tube on my 1997 Force outboard motor. I have used every lubricant that i could possibly think of, such as BP blaster, liquid wrench, even carb cleaner. I have had no such luck on even getting it to budge. I was just wondering if...
I have a 1997 120 hp force outboard that has a fuel leak. I found out where the problem was and figured i could find the piece i needed. It all came down to the male end fuel connector. I cant find out where i can get the part i need. To explain a little more, its the piece that i bolted...
I am in the process of restoring my 120 hp force outboard motor. I hooked up the ear muffs to the lower unit. I had it running for about 5 seconds but there was no water coming out of the pee whole, so i turned it off because i didnt want any engine damage. What do you think it could be?
I bought a boat about 8 months ago, fixed it up and everything. But icve been getting screwed around from the guy that i bought it from. He keeps telling me he has stuff to do so i havent gotten a bill of sale from him. So there is no way i can get it registered. I dont have any idea on what to...

I have a 1997 120 hp Force outboard that has been sitting for quite a few years before i bought it. I would like to know step by step possibly what i need to know to get this thing starting again. I have gotten to the point where the battery is hooked up and it turns over. But it wont start...
I bought a 95 bayliner that has a 120 hp force outboard on the back. I dont think it has been ran for a few year. Im having problems getting the engine to steer freely. I took of the steering cable to see if that is the problem. Even after that the engine still wouldnt move. I was wondering...
