    Back again for help with some decision making on motor for pontoon project. Restoring 84 harris 280 flote boat, came with 84 johnson 70hp, top cylinder 40 psi, pulled head, cylinder wall looks ok, piston a little beat up on top, ring?? was looking at rebuilding motor then found (craigslist) 1978...

    Dumb? Question, Adults only section

    Hi Guys, Havn't been by for a while, started new project and was hoping for some info on rebuilding my 1984 johnson 70, I was thinking there was an adults only sticky here with manuals and tech info, can't seem to locate it though.     14.5 inch on Alpha one

    can't seem to figure this one out by search so here's my ?? can you swap to a 14.5 in 19p prop from a 14 in 19p prop on a alpha one gen one? Or actually are there considerations other than fit? it's on and fits but have I got other issues to consider?, haven't run it yet.
