I haven't been able to determine the purpose of this switch. Everything seems to operate whether the switch is up or down. Does anyone know about this?
The lowest part of my boat is in the middle (step-down). It has a pump that works. Should the water going into the step-down area be exposed to the cabin area? And, If so, can I treat that area sometimes with something to keep bugs and parasites or whatever from getting into the cabin?
It's possible that my boat was winterized 2 years ago and the water was shut off to the toilet. The toilet runs (grinds, flushes, bowl clears), but gets no water pumped in to it when the electric flushing is taking place. It's a full size toilet. I've been putting NO solids in, but using it...
On a 1988 Searay 268, I'm not sure what the converter is used for. I'm on shore power that is definetly working. The charger is not working if that matters. What does the converter do when you're not on shore power? Thanks.
Basically, how does the converter work? What's it's purpose? I have a 1988 Searay 268Cruiser connected to shore power that definetly is working. The charger is not working if that makes a difference. Thanks much.
Does anyone have experience getting the head operating? Do I have to fill the water tank first? When and where do you put the disinfectant and deodorant liquid? As you can see I don't know much except where to put the water in and where to pump out the waste. Thanks.
I'm just not understanding how to keep the engine from dying when shifting into forward or reverse. I can shift into neutral without the engine dying. This restarting and restarting is killing me and the starter.
Do I need to lube the switch which was mentioned? Do I need to replace or lube...
I looked for 1/2 hour for the dipstick on an 88 searay 7.4 liter. What am I missing? Also, are there on line manuals for this engine with diagrams for other repairs?
1988 Searay 268 dies if you do not give it a far enough push into gear, rev and or fwrd. Because of this, the engine dies all the time and when you get it into gear, it goes with too much power. Help.
Should this pump have an automatic setting on the helm dash or anywhere else in the boat? I am having to do it manually every day or two. How do I access this pump for service? The water in this sump is supposed to automatically drain to the bilge, yes or no? Thanks.
