    Vibration and rattling noise

    Rebuilt motor with problems

    Need some help, I rebuilt my 1996 Mercruiser 3.0 LX motor, mounted it on my Monterrey 180 SCR, when I run the boat I have 2 problems. 1. I can't get the rpm's to go past 2000 on WOT and top speed is 30 MPH. 2. Oil comes up through the tube that connects from the valve cover to the carburator.

    Question about Suzuki 2.7

    I have a 3.0 LX Mercruiser on my 18 ft. Monterrey. I am rebuilding the motor and someone offered to sell me an adapter and a Suzuki 2.7 outboard to eliminate the Merrcruiser. Is this a good move or should I stay with the inboard?

    Could this be the cause of my problem?

    Started the motor and water is mixing with the oil, looks like coffee. Removed the head, which had the head bolts loose and this is what the head and exhaust gasket look like.
