just changed fuel filter and water separator filter, boat was running fine untill now. 1983 mercruiser 260 5.7. pulled fuel line from carb and turned motor over and no fuel. mechanical fuel pump, so i dont think there could be a fuse issue. going to buy new fuel pump tomorrow. any help...
exaust bellow is torn and the others are about to. I am going to teardown and replace all three bellows, the u joints and the gimble bearing while im at it. can anyone suggest the best manual to buy? 1983 cenutry with mercruiser 5.7 260hp. thanks.
first time here so any help is appreciated. I have a 1983 mercruiser 260 recently having overheating problems, changed impeller and waterpump so i would not have to go back for awhile. boat idles fine (runs at 140degrees at idle) but gets hot fast under load above 3000 rpm for short time...
