    which seal is bad..alpha 1

    I changed my water pump on my alpha 1. After filling up with gear oil I see oil coming out around the prop after it is almost full. Which seal is bad? or is it the o-ring around the stern drive shaft? Thanks in advance

    is my temp ok

    I was having some overheating problems which I think I solved. With the muffs on I had the boat at 1000 rpm for about 15 mins... themp went a little more the halfway to 170 degrees F. Is that an ok temp? Motor is 5.7L with an alpha 1 Thanks

    Well good, news and bad news after having the boat out. Top speed got up to 35 mph! *changed prop 17 to 15. took hydrofoil off) Bad news is it was only briely.     1987 17" bayliner 85hp force

    Does this sound right? My 1987 17 foot bayliner capri topes out at 27-28 mph on the gps.(2 adults 2 small children) This is with a 85hp force. Is this right? Just seems slow..when peddle boats are passing me! lol Thanks
