    Help: 1996 mariner/mercury 100 stumbling

    The motor stumbles at 3/4 throttle and above and will not pull. It runs fine below full throttle. New fuel filters and clean gas. New plugs. Still no difference.

    Tach question

    I was checking to see of my tach was set to the proper engine size the other day. When I removed the tach there was a rubber plug in the back that covered the hole for the "number of cylinders" switch, when I looked inside the hole there is no pointer or dial to turn, it looks like there should...

    Difference between 100, 115, 125 hp mariner?

    All Specs for these motors appears the same except for the horsepower rating. Does anyone know the exact differences? Can you make a 100 into a 125 with some minor changes?

    Does anyone know of a site with detailed carb adjustment procedures for this motor?, or are you willing to send/post the procedure?

    Mariner 100hp bogging on top end

    I have a 1996 100hp mariner that will not take full throttle, it jumps up and goes but if you keep the throttle wide open it kind of misses or bogs slightly until you back off of the throttle setting a bit. I just got the boat last night and it has not been run since he put it away for the winter.
