We have a leak at the riser gasket on our 1983 5000 sunexpress 228 motor, But I have a few questions,
How often do exhaust manifolds need to be changed(these are OE)?
Should we change them out ho matter what?
External inspection stud and hardware rusted as usual, I want to remove risers and...
I have a 1983 sunexpress 5000 w/merc 228 , I have to pull out for the winter. should I pull the engine to do major work like replacing manifolds and riser, replace all studs, replace head gaskets, etc. going to pull outdrive anyway. I think I should. What do you think? Any suggestions?
