    I picked up a basket case 1993 115 4 cylinder Merc. I've rebuilt it and all reassembled except I can't figure out where the fuel enricher (choke solenoid) mounts. Can anyone post a pic of one with the enricher position shown? Thank

    2 free motors

    I have 2 motors to give away in the San Antonio area. One is a 1958 (i think) 35 Johnson that will run with some work. The other is a very small old, old evinrude, probably good for a conversation, collector piece. You come pick them up. . Call me 210 248 8402

    OIS Question

    On an OIS motor can you unplug the wiring harness and jump start at the starter to rule out forward wiring problems?? I've got no fire and I'm gonna start trouble shooting.

    OMC Drive systems calls for Silastic 732 RTV. on the bearing-to-exhaust housing pilot. Are there any substitutes??

    If you didn't do a spark test when she wouldn't start then you are only guessing it was an electrical problem and you are again only guessing its the power pack. Guessing like that can get real expensive real fast.

    You have a "Pad" boat. You can try a prop with more rake or you can lower the motor a little.

    Powerpack testing 55 Evin

    I had it saved in my favorites but recently lost them all. How do you test the powerpack on a 2 cyl. 55hp Evinrude model#55773D<br />Joe Reeves or Clanton posted a method of testing them with a flashlibht bulb or by touching 2 wires for a small spark or something like that.

    1987 140 looper, will the front end parts, intake, throttle body, carbs, fit a 1994 140 looper??

    Tilt/trim switch on throttle

    Not too hard. On the back side of the control box there is a screw holding the control handle on. Remove the screw and with a 1/8" drift punch knock the handle out. Replacement of the switch should be obvious from there.
