i have a 35 horse merc(88) and im just wondering if anyone could tell me if they are fitted with a charging device straight from factory? if not is it hard or expensive to put one in.. any help would be appreciated..
i have a 35 mercury (88)and i cant seem to get the thing to idle smooth in reverse for trolling.. its runs fine then sputters and then dies.. im wondering if anyone has any ideas.. any ideas would b e good. thanx
have a late 80's merc 35 and when i set at slow idle to troll(in reverse) its seems to sputter and stall.. im just wondering if i changed plugs if it would help or maybe my timing is off a touch.. any suggestions would be appreciated

i have a 35 mercury(late 80's) and the throttle is tough to turn.. i took it apart and its a gear and a wire..( wire is grooved so the gear grabs on to it and pulls it.. i was wondering if anyone knew how i could loosen it up or is there a different throttle assembly that i could use on it.. all...

i was wondering.. my 16 foot lund big lakes has a 35 sittin on the back and the cavitation plate on the motor sits below the bottom of the boat about 3-4 inches.. i was wonder if i got a jack plate and boosted it up if it would give me less drag and more speed
i heard on here that the cavitation plate is supposed to be about 1 inch below the bottom of the transom.. i have a 35 merc on a 16 lund.. i was just wondering if anyone could tell me if what they said was right and if it would help give me some speed because of less drag.
