    Help ID a Johnson motor

    I picked up an early 70's Johnson in pieces. There if not a tag on the transom clamp. However I have the numbers off of the core plug. It is 15012 19182. My guess would be a 1970 20hp ?

    Prop nut size?

    Just picked up a 1970 25hp Johnson. Problem is that it's missing the prop nut? Are the threads 5/8 x 18 ?

    1968 20hp Johnson Extremely hard to pull start

    Working on a 20hp I just picked up. The motor pulls over easy with the plugs out. Install the spark plugs and it is a BEAR. I have two 1973 18's and they are sweethearts to pull start. BTW I'm 6'4" and 250lbs. I've read the forums and never really found an answer. Also pulls just as hard...

    What years of cylinder head will fit my 73 18hp? Can I use one from a 20hp ?
