    I found the problem, the new lower unit i put on, I also used the upper unit with it, So i did not use my orig. And on top of that i have that 21 pitch prop.....<br /><br />So now can i switch the gears without changing upper units, because this one is in better shape.<br />Or can i justify it...

    Wrong pitch

    I have a 1966 18" deep V Fiberform, w/ a Mercruiser 120 inline 4 and a Mercruiser # 1 I/O.<br />I had to change the lower unit, because it was not there. After i finished it i lanched it.<br />PROBLEM... I jumped on it and it was like i was starting out in 4 gear, no rpms and felt like a 50...
