Have 93 Suz and approx. 93 Johnson both 30hp, really know nothing about either, which would be better 1 to keep? I like the look of Suz but think the Johnson (primer paint,no decals,LOW hours, spare lower unit) has a better chance of parts being around if I break down......thanks for any...
Ok I have the cam out and am looking at upper cylinder crank seal how do you get the seal out w/o splitting the crankcase or pulling/ destroying the seal so they can't match the part? '65 18 hp ev 18502 fastwin.

'65 ev. 18 hp fastwin 18502 have manuals have top -plate coils etc. off, can see up. cyl. crankshaft seal but over that is a chamfered metal shoulder, is that the cam? How do you get it out ? Can you get the seal out w/o splitting the crankcase ? thanks for any help.

65, ev, 18 hp 18502 looks good starts nice went slower and slower , engine noise / revs same, slipping? suggestions? went 19 mph for about 15-20 mins then slower and slower to about 9 mph at full throttle ?? new with o/b's help appreciated, thanks

Would these Garelick Outboard Motor Brackets be ok to mount a short shaft o/b to a boat that requires a long shaft ? It is an older engine and the marinas that would have old parts are very busy.
