Can you bypass the vapor pump assembly on a 98 evinrude 115? I converted the VRO system to straight mix with a fuel pump, well my son in law broke off one of the nipples from it. Crazy this small thing is $163
I have a 98 Evinrude 115, the motor starts and runs at first, but then when I turn it off and try to start it again, it seems like the starter is not engaging. It has to sit like 60 mins for it to even try and start again. Brand new starter & I checked all connections and they seem to be fine. I...

I just replaced the impeller and it is working good.
We replaced the VRO to go straight mixed gas.
The overheat horn does work but does not sound when we have the issue.

Hey All. I took the project triton out yesterday and it would not start or stay running. I took the cover off and held the throttle open just a little bit while the Mrs. tried starting the boat.

Appreciate yalls replies, It seems the connector on the pump was broken off, so I need to buy a new one.

Battery reads 12.11 so I don't believe that is the issue. I will charge it overnight and see if it happens.. It tries to start a few times, then the spinning sound occurs.
I could really use some help on this one. It has me stumped. Just replaced the starter and solenoid because the starter would just make a spinning sound but not engaging.
It will try to crank from time to time, but mostly it just makes the spinning sound.
I cannot find this piece name anywhere. I was calling it a throttle cable motor bracket but nothing comes up.
It's the piece behind the throttle cables thats broke.
I bought a 16.5ft triton for $300 and it has some pretty good chips out of the gelcoat and paint. Would you recommend to get it fixed or fill the areas and put a vinyl over it?
