I installed a new Edelbrock intake manifold and carb a few months ago. I didn't paint it before I put it on, because it looked awesome. Well....it now looks like poop. Is there anything wrong with my painting it now that it's in the boat?
Hey all. Earlier this year I installed a remanned 5.7L(Non-Vortec) engine in my 21" Sylvan bow rider. Also upgraded to an Edelbrock intake & 4 bbl Edelbrock carb.
The boat runs fabulously. Nice and smooth, and has given many hours of fun times this summer.

Hey all. Yesterday I finished the install of my new Edelbrock carb and intake on my 96 5.7L.
Now it seems that fuel is leaking out of the top of the carb, where the accelerator pump is. This is a similar problem that the old carb had, and was the reason I replaced everything.
Is it possible...
96 350, non-vortec.
I'm replacing my intake and carb with edelbrock stuff this evening. The factory intake manifold has the rear water jackets blocked off(closest to distributor), and so do the new intake gaskets have metal plates in place as well. However, the new Edelbrock manifold is not...

I called to order it, and the local speed ship I'm dealing with suggest the EDL-1406. Same specs, but not in the marine line. It's a little cheaper which is nice...

My boat has a 96 350 in it. It orginially came with a 2bbl carb, that has gone to the way side. Rather than spending more time diagnosing its issues, I'm changing it over to a 4bbl. I have the carb, but now need an intake manifold.
Any advice on which intake to purchase? Aluminum...
