I have 1976 55hp Johnson. When I bought it I knew the tilt and trim did not work because the electric motor was shot. So before I buy a new motor I want to know if the pump works but I dont know how to check it.And if the pump is shot where do I look for one?
Im new to the boating scene. I just bought a 1976 starcraft with a 1976 Johnson 55 hp. Ive been having problems with the idle and it stalling when putting it into gear. The motor runs excelent at full throttle but when I idle it down to troll it will again stall out. Any suggestions?
