The level of fuel in the fuel bowl Goes down till there isn’t any visible fuel in the bowl. All fuel lines have been replaced from the pickup screen to the engine and a new low pressure fuel pump has been installed. And yes it does bog down and miss at speed and under load. Mechanic says no...
I have a 2007 Mercury 60 hp EFI. The fuel bowl starts out full after you prime the bulb until firm and once the engine starts the bowl begins to empty. The faster the RPM the faster it goes down. Many people say if this is happening you are sucking air somewhere prior to the bowl. The marine...
Marina found no faults on computer diagnostics. Said it was running fine on earmuffs. Problems only occur under load at WOT. They said they took it for a test in the lake and found coil on number 4 cylinder was bad. They replaced coil and said problem should be solved. I took it out for the...
After a $1000 bill from the marina my motor still runs the same As before I took it in. The engine start great, idles great and takes off like it should to get on plane. Once on plane the rpm’s rise to full power of 5800 at WOT then starts to noticeably reduce rpm’s and running rough with the...

It is a heavier 16 ft (100 gage aluminum). Weight is same as it was a month ago when it was running perfectly. The trim/tilt on this unit has only one piston. The tilt function works perfectly. Is it possible that the trim function can fail under load but the tilt work as normal.
I have a 16 ft Legend Xcalibur with a 2007 60 Mercury hp EFI with 12p prop. Used to run at 5800 rpm’s at WOT at 30mph. A week ago it ran fine but could only get the rpm’s up to 5000 At 25 mph. I decided to change out the fuel filters, oil filter and oil and spark plugs. Started it up in the...
If I disconnect battery from boat, I no longer get continuity between tan/blue or purple wire and the hull of the boat but I still get continuity between the two wires.
With an ohm meter I get continuity between the purple wire and the tan wire which feed the buzzer. I also get continuity between the tan/blue wire and the hull of the boat as well as continuity between the purple wire which feeds the buzzer and the hull of the boat (even with the wiring harness...
I have just completed a full restoration of a 2009 Legend Xcalibur with a Mercury 60hp EFI Which involved the dash out and wiring harness disconnected. Upon turning the key to test everything, I noticed there was no warning beep for one or two seconds as there normally is. Turning the key...
Does anyone know what the long skinny black plastic block with green, green and white and black wires coming out one end and I think going up to the trigger and out the other end are a blue and blue and white wire running to the top and bottom terminal on the right side of the switch box. The...
