    Tiara 3300 props

Anyone on here have a tiara 3300 open? What props are you running? boat I just picked up with twin Crusader 454 350hp 1.9gears has 17x20 3 blades. These props are too small. I’m barely making top end rpm, and cruise at 3200 barely makes 16kt and cannot get the bow down. I believe tiara...

    Crusader 454 Cooling

Raw Water flow is good. Everything on the raw water side is <85/90deg. And that’s really just at the elbow. Raw water pump U cooler we’re <70. Heats up a bit in the heat exchanger as it should, and riser and elbows are 80-90

    Crusader 454 Cooling

Wouldn’t operating temp be 160-170, which is what you should have off the thermostat housing? I will write my numbers down next time I got down to the boat. I’m definitely much hotter than any of your numbers. I will say the block and thermostat housing maintain operating temps of 160/170

    Crusader 454 Cooling

HX is aft mounted and is new after market from https://lencoheatexchangers.com/ Factory thermostats are 160deg and I just replaced it. U-cooler is also new from Lenco. Thru hull and sea strainer clean and clear. The water pump is a Sherwood E85. Just “major” rebuild kit including new...

    Crusader 454 Cooling

Fair enough. That was my concern these motors are original or at least assumed original with 1900/2000 on the hour meters. They run good with 135 compression on my port and 130 on starboard. My plan is to get this season out of them and yank them and rebuild over the winter. At which point...

anyone ever used barnacle buster on their freshwater side? I’m thinking since heat exchanger is new I can bypass the heat exchanger and circulate with a bilge pump and a 15gallon bucket

Engine, thermostat housing, and dash gauge all coincide with 160-170.

    Crusader 454 Cooling

It's been quite sometime since I posted on here. I just picked up a new to me boat with twin Crusader 454 350hp motors. It has a closed FWC system and raw water only sees the Raw water pump, U-Coolers, Heat Exchanger, Risers and Elbows. It seems my manifolds are running really hot, which...

    Another Bravo 3 Corrosion Issue

While on my buddy's boat powered with a diesel with a bravo 3x drive, we started taking on water. Pump was going off every 30second intervals. Not a fun experience 70miles from home. Quick inspection showed water coming in from the transom plate, but could not see where. Needless to say we...

    Hardtop restoration

I'm upgrading my electronics and while I have everything off the hard top I want to refinish it. The top is definately an add on from previous owner and made of fiberglass, but very very very thin. I have aluminum framing welded on the underside for support and strength but the overall fiber top...

    Bravo 3 overheating Outdrive

A friends boat is powered by 260hp yanmar diesel which has a bravo 3x drive duoprop. When the motor was installed the raw water pick up on the drive was blanked off as the heat exchanger manifold etc is cooled via thru hull water pick up. He never had a problem for 2 years then started to get...

    garmin 7610xsv

Looking to upgrade electronics on my boat and looking at the garmin 7610xsv with built in downvu and sidevu. I'd also be adding a garmin dome for radar. Any experience with this unit? Pros/cons? I'm mostly inshore with a handful of trips a year to blue water. Thanks in advance.
