my motor runs really well under throttle and starts fine when cold, but after it warms up it wont idle very good and then it dies and wont start again until it sits for a while and cools down a bit. my question is if it could be vapor locking and if so can it possibly be from the fuel pump being...
i have a 1978 70hp evinrude and i am running it at about 6000 feet above sea level and am wondering what size of prop i should be running on it. i currently am running a 13 3/4 x 15 and it doesnt seem to fire out of the hole or gain to many rpms.i guess i should ad that it is on a 1973 starcrft...

i have pulled the lower off and inspected the impeller and it looks good and thermostat appears to be working
engine is getting very hot. so my question is could timing possibly be the issue
i am haveing problems with my motor being stuck in forward gear. i have recently replaced oil and made sure it is full and tested the wires that go down to the lower end and they have electricity when they are supposed to. any help would be appriciated
im looking into buying a 1979 evinrude 70hp but i know nothing about the motors. was wondering if anyone could tell me what one should expect to pay for one and any general info about them i.e. how they run if its worth purchasing and so on
i have a 1971 johnson 60 horse. it runs good but it seems to me that the engine is getting to hot because even after running long enough to open thermostat the heads are really warm. i can hold my hand about three inches away and feel the heat. i do not know if the thermostat is opening or not...
