    12' Alum, seating styles?

    I have a older 12' 54" beam, with three large horizontal benches. I have seen boats with 2 parallel benches with storage at the rear. Is this a more efficient and comfortable seating arrangment, and could my boat be converted in the backyard?.

    Well I re-checked the compression(cold as before) and it hasn't changed. My gauge is a o ring type but not a expensive one. It reads 60lbs a hole even.     Just wondering if there is, a procedure for testing the fuel pump on a 9.5?. Should the fuel line be full at idle, or just under heavy throttle?.

    Gas tank, quick connect leak

    I bought a new Quicksilver fuel hose for my 71' 9.5 Johnson. It fits nice on the engine, but leaks at the tank fitting, when I prime it. I was using my neighbor's hose off his 9.9 and it fit much better at the tank. The tank is steel, with the Evinrude logo and barrel type fuel gauge. When I...

    1971 9.5 Johnson..new impellor no water!

    I just put a new impellor in, now I have no water pumping?. Accept a couple broken impellor housing bolts, changing it went pretty smoothly. Do you need to prime it some how, or should water be visible fairly quickly?.<br /><br />Thanks, Darrell :confused:
