I think mine has foam. I don't believe that to be the issue as it has been this way for the 8 summers I've owned this boat. Although I guess it could have always been waterlogged. I have considered this in the past, but my gut is telling me that is not the issue.
I believe the tach is accurate. The reality is that whether or not it is, I'm still only going 32mph at WOT in a small boat with a 19p. It just doesn't seem right. I feel like it should be in the 38-42mph range. Am I wrong?
