Not sure where to post this so i chose here. My 1999 Caravelle 176/volvo penta 3.0 sank while docked and not running.
still not sure how. the wife and kids were out on it while i was at work, docked it around 3pm and i got a call at 6am that it sunk.
now it is sitting at boat shop waiting for...
i have a volvo penta 3.0 in my caravelle 176f/s. after pulling the kids on the tube we stopped for about a 1/2 hr then we were going to pull again but the boat wouldn't start.. engine turned over like normal. i turned the blower on for a few minutes before trying to start. i did get it started...
the trim gauge on my 99 caravelle with a Volvo penta 3.0 stopped working late last season.. yes the out drive does trim and seem to work properly and all wires are connected . the needle on the gauge has always been a little shaky, it would bounce around and sometimes stick but always started...
my speedometer is not working. it just went out on day. i don't know the correct name for it but its the paddle wheel type that's on the back of my boat at the bottom. any ideas what might be the problem?
I have a volvo penta 3.0, i know they are a noise engine and i am looking for a way to sound proof or at least reduces the noise. i was told to line engine compartment with egg create foam. my boat is a F/S so there is a livewell/trash can in there too. is this the best way?
