I recently installed a seal kit in my motor - a 1986 Evinrude 15 HP (E15RCDE).
The water intake screen (BRP-0318991) was dry rotted and fell apart.
I looked online for one but everyone says they're obsolete/vintage and out of production.
Does anyone know where i can get one of these?
I have a J200TXEOC with a driveshaft stuck in the crankshaft. All bolts are out and shifter is uncoupled. Lower unit moves a little side to side and front to bacl but only about 1/8 inch up and down. The motor was used in salt water.
How do i get the shaft unstuck?
I just got an OMC charging kit (0174037) for my motor and noticed that there is no regulator. It has a stator and a rectifier. I have heard that charging batteries without a regulator can damage them. Does anybody know if i am supposed to have a regulator?
