My 1987 Chaparral XLC 200 with Alpha One outdrive is leaking oil at the bottom of the shift shaft in the upper gear housing. I suspect it is coming out of the drive shaft input area at the top of the gear housing and running down the shift shaft. I have not pulled the outdrive off yet...

My boat came with an after market SBC 350 block # 10243880. It comes up as a 95-00 GM crate motor with rollercam and listed as ZZ4. Not sure what the ZZ4 designation is about. I just had the motor rebuilt. It has standard pistons and standard bore (just had to rehone cylinder bores)...
